I have a confession to make about Sparrow Lane Wedding & Event Center in Willard, Missouri: I don’t just know this venue as a photographer. I know it as a bride.
Sparrow Lane is where I got married.
So when I tell you this venue is something special — that it is warm and beautiful and will make your wedding day feel like an absolute dream — I’m not just speaking as someone who has photographed weddings here. I’m speaking as someone who walked down that aisle, stood in those cottages with her girls, and said her vows in that stunning chapel. I know this place with my whole heart, and I cannot wait to tell you everything about it.
What Is Sparrow Lane Wedding & Event Center?
Sparrow Lane is a stunning all-white wedding venue nestled in the peaceful scenic Ozarks, just 20 minutes north of Springfield in Willard, Missouri. Built from the ground up in 2020 by owner Callie and her husband Jerry, Sparrow Lane sits on 50 gorgeous acres and features four separate buildings — a reception barn, a chapel, and two charming cottages — all designed with a Magnolia-inspired, rustic elegance that is timeless, airy, and endlessly photogenic.
Here is the detail that makes Sparrow Lane truly one of a kind: Callie is a professional wedding photographer herself. She spent years behind the camera capturing weddings before she ever built a venue, and that photographer’s eye is infused into every single inch of Sparrow Lane. She designed this place specifically to be the most picture-perfect backdrop possible — and it shows. Every wall, every window, every angle of this venue was thoughtfully considered for how it photographs.
Since opening in 2020, Sparrow Lane has been part of over 500 weddings — including two of Callie and Jerry’s own daughters’ weddings. It has also earned 417 Magazine’s Best Wedding Reception Location and Best Wedding Ceremony Location every year since 2020. That is not an accident.

The chapel is fully climate-controlled, so your guests are comfortable in every season.
The Reception Barn is a gorgeous white shiplap barn that is modern, airy, and incredibly versatile. With tables and chairs for up to 200 guests included in your rental — including 12 beautiful wooden 6-foot rectangle tables alongside round tables — the reception space is warm, elegant, and completely adaptable to your vision. The mix of wooden tables and round tables with colorful linens (or crisp white) looks absolutely stunning in photos.
The Two Cottages are where the magic of the getting-ready morning happens. As a former Sparrow Lane bride, these cottages hold a very special place in my heart. They are charming, comfortable, and beautifully designed — the perfect place for you and your wedding party to settle in, get beautiful, and soak up those precious pre-ceremony hours together. And with a two-day rental, you and your people can actually stay overnight in the cottages, making your wedding weekend a true experience.

The light in the chapel is extraordinary. Ceremony portraits here are some of the most consistently beautiful I produce anywhere. The light is soft, even, and flattering, and the white walls wrap it around your faces in the most gorgeous way.
The cottages are a getting-ready photographer’s dream. Natural light, beautiful white interiors, charming details — the getting-ready portraits from Sparrow Lane mornings are always among my favorites in any gallery.
The outdoor spaces surprise people. The 50 acres of Missouri countryside surrounding Sparrow Lane offer portrait opportunities that feel completely different from the all-white interior — warm, natural, organic, and stunning, especially at golden hour when that Ozarks light turns everything to gold.
